As the Covid-19 pandemic is impacting more and more of our lives, we like to take the chance to explain the actions that Coherent Mainz has established to ensure business continuity in support of our industry.
We are honored that you trust us to continue supplying products with superior quality to you. To do so, and to protect the health and safety of our employees to the best we can, we have taken the following actions:
We established home offices for all employees who can do so. Since phone calls are being forwarded, and network access is provided, these employees are reachable and can support you as usual.
Most of the meetings are nowadays held remotely by video or phone conference. This is valid for internal, as well as for meetings with external participants.
In our manufacturing areas, we are moving temporarily to a more flexible shift system which allows larger distances between our workers, in order to reduce exposure, but, at the same time, to keep the overall production capacity high.
We have kept a dual-supplier strategy for most of our critical parts in the past years. Nonetheless, we are in constant dialog with our partners (customers & suppliers) to secure supply and to manage the situation.
Since child care, Kindergarten and schools are closed in our region, we allow employees having young children a more flexible approach doing their job.
Members of our management team are on-site to ensure the health and safety of our employees and suppliers.
Whereas private life is under severe constraints nowadays, our employees are still allowed to come to work to ensure business continuity, for you and for all of us.
